Enclosed here is a video lecture and explanation of the meaning and scientific benefits of Gayatri Mantra . This video is in English and was delivered in 2007. The lecture explanation gives details on how we should  recite the Gayatri  Mantra and how we should  meditate upon it.

As we open the windows of a dark room and allow the Suns rays to filter into the room ...darkness is dispelled and replaced by light. The Gayatri Mantra has the same influence upon our lives.

This lecture is delivered by Dr Pranav Pandya, the current chairperson of the "All World Gayatri Pariwar". Dr Pandya is a doctor by formal education and an eminent Gayatri Sadhak and spiritual disciple of Acharya Shriram Sharma. He has written several books and  is a prolific speaker on The Bhagvad Gita .
