Don't just talk, DO!
The people who talk more and "don't do" are sort of foolish. Such people make big and large plans, talk a lot about them, and usually  have no dearth of words to spin their wordy cobwebs. These people are always front of the line while making conversation and last in the line when it comes to executing the talk. The talk is in kilograms and the action a few grams! These type of people are usually hollow human beings and have a wasteful tendency. You cannot expect them to be the architect of great deeds.

It is necessary that when you think and make plans, that you make plans that are feasible. The plans should translate to action. Therefore ,think before you plan. Think about whether you can execute the plan? Do you have enough strength and ability to execute? Are you thinking of doing something outside your capabilities? Do you have the required man power, money power, physical capabilities, enough friends and family to support the plan?

Start to act on the plan only when you have fleshed out the full details of a plan. To achieve success in converting the plan to action -all your mental physical creative abilities have to be focused on making the plan a reality. You have to be mentally alert and alive at all times. You have to build the strength to make a resolution and build on administering the resolution.

Success is yours if you have a well thought out plan, and the resolve to implement and administer the plan to completion!

Task Management and Conquering Laziness:
Postponing an activity that can be done right now into  the future is indicative of a habit of laziness. Whatever task you can finish today, do them today itself and do not postpone them to tomorrow.

Secondly when you take on multiple tasks,  you end up spending  time debating which task to do first and which last AND  in this confusion no task gets accomplished in a timely or effective manner. Conversely if you take a single job in hand and work on it immediately and continuously than a lot of tasks can be effectively accomplished. Also when you take on multiple tasks at the same time it is difficult to sustain interest and enthusiasm for all tasks for a sustained period of time, therefore many tasks undertaken remain  incomplete.

Incomplete tasks are a waste of time and do not yield any results. There is an old Hindu saying “Those that are timely, disciplined, and enthusiastic and devoted towards their tasks, are the ones that attain knowledge and wisdom”.

Laziness is a type of darkness that covers a person’s abilities and prevents a person from maximizing their potential. Laziness holds millions of people in its thrall and is the biggest destroyer of the human body, mind and its immense potential.

The Resurgence and spread of Vedic Indian culture in the future:
The sun is set to rise once again on Vedic Indian culture and its way of life. As I write this , the world is changing and moving towards a new world order. Till now wealth was controlled by a handful of persons, now the time has come when the wealth will transfer and move to the needy and poor. In the olden days Indian spirituality commanded a lot of recognition and respect, India was known to be the land of gold & riches (‘Soney Ki Chidiya’) and its people were veneered to be an exalted race. Men with courage and a spirit of sacrifice were common and found in most households. With the passage of time the highly evolved and spirited Indian race found itself distanced from its age old ideals and the state of the nation deteriorated.

The time has come again when India and Indian culture will find its age old glory restored. The sun will once again shine on qualities of wisdom, strength and knowledge. Currently, the world over we are hearing people demanding and struggling for their rights, but I say before we focus on our rights let us also be focused on our duties.

Western thought says that the path to progress lies in raising the society’s standard of living, whereas Eastern and Indian thought places a greater premium on spiritual and emotional advancement as the true path to mankind’s progress. We can find solutions to all problems of life by adopting once again the old values propagated by our sages and seers.

A nation’s government and politicians can only guarantee and protect the citizen’s rights but our happiness and sadness cannot be guaranteed or protected by the nation’s governments. Our state of happiness lies in our control and can be directed and controlled by us through our own individual spiritual & emotional advancement. Indian spirituality has the power to make true human beings out of mankind.

Let us remember that, Indian spirituality  gives an important message - Mankind has been created to spread love and happiness towards its fellow beings and not to engage with each other in endless fights and wars. Let us find progress not just through material advancement but through enhanced spiritual and emotional progress.

Lord Buddha and his message:

An individual who is unable to exercise self control and rise above his individual interests will also not be able to influence impact and control the minds of others. The best help is self help; each person should rely on their own self to navigate through different situations in life. Each individual should take responsibility of his own duties .Purity and impurity are states of the mind- each individual alone can purify his mind, nobody else can do this for him.

  • Even if you do not gain materially, you should strive to remain happy.
  • There is no fire that consumes like the fires  of jealousy and envy.
  • Hatred is the dice that can make you lose.
  • The human body can bring untold misery.
  • There is no greater happiness than the  feeling of peace.
  • There is no wealth like good health.
  • There is no valuable like the feeling of  satisfaction.
  • The person upon whom you can rely upon on is your true brother/or your family.               ( A translated  excerpt from Rishi Chintan Key Sannidhey Mein)
